  • £7,622raised for local Scouting
  • 10Scout groups and units delivering

Thank you to everyone who bought a stamp, hosted a post box, sorted cards or walked a delivery round. Every penny goes back into Scouting for young people in and around Inverness.

What is Scout Post?

Every Christmas, local Scouts deliver Christmas cards across Inverness, Smithton, Culloden, Balloch and Westhill for less than the price of a normal stamp. You buy a blue Scout Post stamp, post your cards in one of our yellow boxes in local shops, and Scouts and volunteers collect, sort and deliver them by hand.

It is run by the Inverness, Nairn, Badenoch and Strathspey District Scout Council, and all the money raised goes back into Scouting for young people in the area.

How last year’s cards got delivered

When are you back? Scout Post returns in November 2026. Stamps usually go on sale in mid-November, and this website will have all the dates, shops and the delivery map then.

Run a shop? Host a yellow box next year

We’re always looking for local shops and businesses to sell our blue stamps and host a yellow post box. Get in touch and we’ll be in contact before the next Scout Post.
